Seth on Reincarnation

"Reincarnational experiences are a part of the framework of the self, a facet of the multidimensional reality of the living psyche. These experiences will, therefore, be reflected not only in the dream state, but on other layers of activity."

"The fabric of the present self is interwoven with these reincarnational "pasts" and from them the present self draws unconsciously from its own bank of personality characteristics, activities, and insights. Often past-life memories come to the surface but are not recognized as such, since they appear in fantasy form, or are projected into art creations."

"Many writers of historical pieces, for example, are writing out of direct experience with those times. Such instances represent an excellent working rapport between the present self and the unconscious, which brings these memories to the surface in such a way that current life is enriched. More often than not, true awareness of the situation often becomes almost conscious, and just beneath awareness the individual knows the source of his authentic material."

Philip On Time Orientation

"Time orientation is a product of physicality and the brain. you won't find time in other realities. If you go to these other realities, you are going to have a rough 'time' trying to exist there! Your watch won't work in these other non-time realitites because there's no elief in time. Your watch won't help you.

"Unfortunately, the past does exist in your bodies. (In your DNA) The body is a composite and archive of your past. Until the body catches up with YOU, it will have all the cycles....The body cycles until you are totally in the present.

"Train the brain to get out of time orientation and back into the present moment. You can't just say the words. You have to realize the intent, own the true concept, not just mouth the words. You must feel intent emotionally.

"In this reality everything is a product of time. Time doesn't exist anywhere else. As long as you believe in time, you are going to come back here so you can do time. You create your reality from your belief systems.

"Your fatigue and tiredness is because you are carrying your past and concentrating on your future. Your power (energy) is smeared all over the place. Your brain says, "It's time to go to bed when it gets dark outside." That's not the body talking, it's brain chatter. It takes 28 days for the brain to catch on to anything! If you could get away from your clocks and watches and let the body run naturally, within a month your brain would not run the way you have trained it to run. The body would run quite differet. You would be on a tottally different rhythm.

"The word process implies a time oriented activity. You make time a process through your watches and your brain. Your emotions are a product of your past and future, not the present moment. Emotions are time based, feelings are not. Feelings are abstract thought, and thought is totally independent of time. For example, fear is a product of time, as are all emotions.

"Most of your defensiveness in life results from (being) time oriented. You are defending yourself against your past and your future and you are not living in the present. Attitudes are time oriented. Vulnerability requires time. It is a space between your defensiveness and the real you.

"Your body will eventually catch up with YOU. It will take awhile because you have all spent your lives thus far believing in the past and the future, not very often living in the present.

"Healing is a time oriented process. If this is the only YOU that you have ever been, then your body was not created from an old you. That is, healing is a process of helping the NEW YOU get into a body that was created a year ago that you don't wish to inhabit because you don't like what was created. If the body is in the present moment with you, there is nothing to heal. Healing reflects the process of trying to get you oriented to time/space and the rule of time orientation. If you get the body in the moment and actually get into it solidly enough and you can feel that strength with it, the body automatically heals because anything that is actually wrong with the body is something a previous you created in thought when it was trying to create a future body for someone that was not living in it at the time. The healing process pulls the body forward into the moment. Only past bodies are candidates for healing."

Seth on Personality and Time

"The past exists as a series of elctromagnetic connections held in the phsyical brain and in the nonphysical mind. these electromagnetic connections can be changed...

"The future consists of a series of electromagnetic connections in the mind and brain also, and this is the only reality that you are justified in giving the present.

"In other words, the past and present are real to the same extent. On occasion the past can become more 'real' than the present, and in such cases past actions are reacted to in what you call the present. You take it for granted that present action can change the future, but present actions can also change the past.

"The past is no more objective or independent from the perceiver than is the present. These electromagnetic connections that compose the past were largely made by the individual perceiver and the perceiver is always a participator.

"The connections, therefore, can be changed, and such changes are far from uncommon. They happen spontaneously on a subconscious basis. The past is seldom what you remember it to be, for you have already rearranged it from the instant of any given event. The past is being constantly re-created by each individual as attitudes and associations change. This is an actual re-creation, not a symbolic one. The child is indeed still within the man, but he is not the child that 'was.' For even the child within the man constantly changes.

"Difficulties arise, in fact, when such alterations do not occur automatically. Severe neurosis is often caused precisely because the individual has not changed his past. Once more, the only reality that can be assigned to the past is that granted to the symbols and associations and images that exist electromagnetically within the physical brain and nonphysical mind.

"I am speaking in your terms now, and this should be understood, as I am simplifying conditions considerably. A change of attitude, a new association, or any of innumerable other actions will automatically set up new electromagnetic connections and break others.

"Every action changes every other action--we go back to our ABC's. Therefore, every action in your present affects those actions you call past. Ripples from a thrown stone go out in all directions, and I am going out rather far on the limb myself right here. Remembering what you know of the nature of time, you realize that the apparent boundaries between past, present, and future are only illusions caused by the amount of action you can physically perceive.

"Therefore it is possible to react in the past to an event that has not yet occured, to be influenced by your own future. It is also possible for an individual to react in the past to an event in the future which may never occur in your terms."

Seth on Physicality and Events

"When you enter time and physical life, you are already aware of its conditions. You are biologically predisposed to grow within that rich environment, to contribute on all levels to the fulfillment of your species--but more than this, to add your own unique viewpoint and experience to the greater patterns of consciousness of which you are a part."

"You are beginning to understand the intimate connections that exist in your physical environment. The psychological connections, however, are far more complicated, so that each individual's dreams and thoughts interweave with every other person's, forming ever-changing patterns of desire and intent. Some of these emerge as physical events and some do not."

- Seth (channeled through Jane Roberts) from The Individual and the Nature of Mass Events.

Elias on Simultaneous Time

"Each essence chooses to be focusing attention in certain directions and in participation in different areas of consciousness, different physical dimensions [and] non-physical areas of consciousness, and as an essence chooses to be participating in any particular physical dimension, their attention is directed to that physical dimension."

"this present now, you as essence focus your attention in many areas concerning this physical dimension and the exploration of experience in relation to this physical dimension. You may be creating the physical manifestations, as time is simultaneous, but at certain points you may also choose to turn your attention. This is not to say that the manifestation does not exist, but your attention is not held any longer in that manifestation."

"I am understanding the difficulty in your objective concentration and objective understanding of this concept of simultaneous time, for you do focus your attention within a physical dimension that incorporates linear time. Although, I may also express to you, you may be noticing in this now the movement of time as different, for you all are beginning to be noticing that you hold the ability to manipulate this movement of time, and you are recognizing its flexibility and that in actuality the movement of it in any manner is created by you through your perception."

"Therefore, you hold the ability to not merely move time differently, but to stop time. And as you begin experimenting and playing with your abilities to be manipulating time and bending it in manners that you choose, you also offer yourselves more of an objective understanding of simultaneous time."

AD on Time vs. Expectation

"Time is actually a virus. The current time virus that you are living with came in about the 1200's ad and it is the same virus we call Christianity. That is, the time virus that you are dealing with now we also called the Christian virus."

"Before a virus can infect, it has to have a space. Space can't be created until some kind of an opening occurs called natural time. That is, in the universe, natural time is just openings; it is a way of connecting things so that you've got a place for growth and space."

"In this reality, how you make the first initial time is with expectation. Whenever you are having expectations, you are making a time gap that space can come in and thus get infected with time."

"Whenever there are expectations, you are creating natural time vs unnatural time. One of the first things you learn as kids is to quit expecting things because your hopes get bashed so much. Then, as adults, you get into a place of not expecting anything."

"Expectation is binary–two states–dread and excitement. If you stay on the dread side of expectation, then you are just going to create more of the time virals that are here. If, instead, you let the expectation be excitement but not necessarily a specific outcome, but just an excitement in general for whatever might be new and curious with expectations of discovery, then you are keeping expectation open and you are creating your own time. That's what you want to learn to do. You don't want to be reinforcing and rebuilding virus time. I've got to teach you people to get back into playful, happy, excited expectations. That's why we use the term, "...better than you could have ever imagined." That keeps the agenda off. An agenda is an expectation with a pre-derived or desired outcome. If you don't have an agenda you can't be embarrassed about an expectation outcome."

Seth on "Assembly-Line" Time

"The assembly-line time and the beliefs that go along with it have given you many benefits as a society, but it should not be forgotten that the entire framework was inititally set up to cut down on impulses, creative thought, or any other activities that would lead to anything but the mindless repetition of one act after another. (intently)"

"In other words, that entire framework is meant to give you a standardized, mass-produced version of reality. None of its concepts can (knocking the table) rationally be applied to creative endeavors. The orientation that gives you the creative achievement lies in the opposite direction."

"Creativity itself has its own built-in discipline, the kind that, for example, in a dream can rummage through the days of the future to find precisely the data required to make a specific point."
