Seth on Reincarnation

"Reincarnational experiences are a part of the framework of the self, a facet of the multidimensional reality of the living psyche. These experiences will, therefore, be reflected not only in the dream state, but on other layers of activity."

"The fabric of the present self is interwoven with these reincarnational "pasts" and from them the present self draws unconsciously from its own bank of personality characteristics, activities, and insights. Often past-life memories come to the surface but are not recognized as such, since they appear in fantasy form, or are projected into art creations."

"Many writers of historical pieces, for example, are writing out of direct experience with those times. Such instances represent an excellent working rapport between the present self and the unconscious, which brings these memories to the surface in such a way that current life is enriched. More often than not, true awareness of the situation often becomes almost conscious, and just beneath awareness the individual knows the source of his authentic material."

Ramtha on Reincarnation

"Life does not go in a circle, master, nor does it ever repeat itself. It always changes, and yet it evolves every moment to be constant. Life is all-encompassing and creates the next moment by virtue of its own being, its own isness. It is created in the moment by each entity according to his attitude. It is the attitude toward life that allows its cycles of change to seem circular.

"Reincarnation is indeed a truth. It is simply laying down one body--because the attitude permitted it to die--and taking up another one, either here or somewhere else upon the plane of matter.

"Why does anyone come back here? Because they want to. Do you think that you are made to come back here, that you are kicked from whatever plane you are on back into an embodiment, only to have to struggle through the birth canal and become completely dependent upon the egos around you?

"There was no edict that sent you here, master, for there is no one who can ever make you do anything against your will. You are the one who decided to return here. You are the one who desired to express again upon this plane. So if you are looking for someone to blame your miseries on, you will have to look yourself in the eye. You are wholly responsible for your own beauty, your own being, your own sorrowful or wonderful life--and it's about time that that's the way it is known!

"No one is ever forced to reincarnate upon this plane. But after living here for eons, man begins to think that this is all there is. And when he loses his body and is away from his emotional attachments and the toys that are here, he soon wants to hurry up to get back here, for he thinks that this is the only heaven there is. And so, for him it is.

"The only reason you are here is because you want to be--because you have a need within your being to fufill here. And the need is to express joy, or sorrow, or pity, or anger, or pain, or anything else you wish to experience on this plane of illusion--so that you may have as much of it as you want. Then when you become tired of it or bored with it, you can change your attitude and experience some other emotion. It is as simple as that.

"Can utopia live alongside pain and sorrow and hellish situations? Indeed it can. It is only an attitude away."
