Elias on Expectation of Others

"If you are generating expectations.... For, you are concentrating upon the other individuals and generating expectations of their behavior. What are you doing? You are expressing a threat. Expectation is received and perceived as threat; threat is opposition. If you are opposing, you shall reflect opposing. Therefore, you generate the expectation and what occurs? You receive opposition, for YOU are expressing opposition to begin with.

If you are paying attention to you and your energy and generating cooperation, not opposing, you shall also reflect cooperation - not compromise, not acquiescing, but cooperating, and cooperation does not require agreement."

- Elias, from Session #1860 (As channeled through Mary Ennis)

Elias on Love

“Love is a truth, and the translation within your physical dimension of love is not attraction. It is that of knowing and appreciation, genuine appreciation, which appreciation is expressed in acceptance. In this, the knowing is also significant, actual knowing of yourself and knowing of another individual and expressing an acceptance which generates an appreciation. This is the genuine expression of love.

“This is not to discount your feelings and your expression in relation to another individual, for you do express affection and attraction, but there are also other expressions which are generated in association with beliefs: expectations upon yourself, expectations concerning the other individual, expectations concerning relationships and how they should be generated and expressed, how you should be expressing within a relationship, and also underlyingly what you genuinely desire in your own expression, without expectations and without anticipation of the other individual’s perception or what they generate, but genuinely focusing upon yourself and allowing yourself to express your genuine offering of energy and not denying that expression within yourself.

“A genuine expression of love between individuals objectively is the expression of allowance of yourself to generate what you want without restriction....”

- Elias (channeled through Mary Ennis) from Session 997.

AD on Time vs. Expectation

"Time is actually a virus. The current time virus that you are living with came in about the 1200's ad and it is the same virus we call Christianity. That is, the time virus that you are dealing with now we also called the Christian virus."

"Before a virus can infect, it has to have a space. Space can't be created until some kind of an opening occurs called natural time. That is, in the universe, natural time is just openings; it is a way of connecting things so that you've got a place for growth and space."

"In this reality, how you make the first initial time is with expectation. Whenever you are having expectations, you are making a time gap that space can come in and thus get infected with time."

"Whenever there are expectations, you are creating natural time vs unnatural time. One of the first things you learn as kids is to quit expecting things because your hopes get bashed so much. Then, as adults, you get into a place of not expecting anything."

"Expectation is binary–two states–dread and excitement. If you stay on the dread side of expectation, then you are just going to create more of the time virals that are here. If, instead, you let the expectation be excitement but not necessarily a specific outcome, but just an excitement in general for whatever might be new and curious with expectations of discovery, then you are keeping expectation open and you are creating your own time. That's what you want to learn to do. You don't want to be reinforcing and rebuilding virus time. I've got to teach you people to get back into playful, happy, excited expectations. That's why we use the term, "...better than you could have ever imagined." That keeps the agenda off. An agenda is an expectation with a pre-derived or desired outcome. If you don't have an agenda you can't be embarrassed about an expectation outcome."
